Technoset Roofs

Solid sturdy cover that fits on the Technosetbee hive, or any other standard hive as a roof. The twin-skinned roof is fitted with insulation between the layers to provide extra protection for the brood nest against extreme cold ot hot temperatures.

The roof incorporates 2 vents at each end to allow moist air to exit and stop any condensation.

The 4 recesses on the top are to locate a Technosetbee Floor and stop it slipping off when shifting beehives from one location to another.

Also available with the optional Feeder Valve fitted. More than one valve can be fitted if required. This makes it very easy to refill the top feeders without lifting the cover.

The Technoset Dual top Feeder has a small rim around the lower edge so that it locates over a standard wooden brood box.The pollen patty compartment has 2.3 litres of space and the syrup compartment holds up to 3.5 litres of sugar syrup.It features a “no drown” design with safe “bee drink” areas.
The feeder fits neatly inside the Technoset roof and takes no extra space. It doubles up as a hive mat and can be left on the beehive all year round.
It allows damp air to exit up through the feeder vents and out the roof vents.

This valve allows you to quickly and efficiently fill the underlying feeder without moving the Hive cover. Simply open the cap and pour the syrup in. The syrup level is clearly visible so that you don’t overfill.

Hive cover can be ordered from the factory with valve fitted.

Compatible also with conventional hive covers up to a thickness of 13mm.
